MENA Women Speakers is focused on bringing empowerment of females in Arabia and GCC talent as speakers. We aim to support the historic vision 2030 which focusing on empowerment of Arabian women reform program, with far-reaching social and economic goals including increasing women’s economic participation rate from 22% percent to 30% percent in the coming year.
Since the launch of Vision 2030 for Arabian women have already benefited from a range of reforms, gaining the right to drive contribute to the best of their abilities. Women are great assets and MENA Women Speakers is room for utilizing this talent by unlocking the enormous potential of women in Arabia. We focus on empowering women in the business, develop personal skills, promote work culture, entrepreneurship and enterprise opportunities for women and contribute to the development of Kingdom economy.
With the large scale of transformation in Arabia, MENA Speakers leads people and to identify their skills which will be key to the success of Arabia’s Vision 2030.
As people are the driving force behind all great change, given the recent advancements in opportunities for women’s knowledge and skills will bring to an increasingly diverse workforce and sustainable growth for harnessing the right talent to fuel the future.
This initiative was launched on 8th of March 2019 at the International Women’s Day. It started as a campaign launched by the Leading Speakers and MC Bureau in the Middle East and North Africa. The goal was to connect with over 1000 experts from MENA region that are raising their voice and we successfully did so however found that one of the key markets, KSA was underrepresented. Now our focus is on bringing female arabian expertise to the local and global arenas, to be spotlighted and elevated.
Our expertise comes from working on the field, dealing close with clients and influencing the decision for more diversity of voices. We will be relentless in championing the voices and stories of these incredible trailblazers. With MENA Speakers it will be fascinating to see how women continue to shape growth in Arabia to unleash the Kingdom’s true potential on the stage.
In many regions of the world, women are not able to pursue the same opportunities as men. MENA Women Speakers is addressing SDG 5 Gender Equality in the Middle East and North Africa, a region where female economic and professional recognition has historically been a challenge. Through MENA Women Speakers, Azzam is not only ensuring that women are compensated for speaking at professional events, but they are paid fairly for their work as well. When discussing the importance of fair pay, Azzam explained “We negotiate a lot on the fees… we make sure that they are paid fairly and that there isn’t that pay gap.” more…
As a female change-maker, Saana Azzam understands the obstacles that women face when looking to share their experiences in professional and academic conferences. MENA Women Speakers provides assistance for women so that they have the means and access to a support base in a male-dominated region where they are able to participate in sharing knowledge. Azzam explained that “We’re giving them the opportunity in the platform to share their story”. By creating a culture of fair representation, Azzam is furthering SDG 10 Reduced Inequality through her work with MENA Women Speakers.
